XOsoft, the application availability software solution provider, released the latest version of its award-winning WANSync software.

Designed with feedback from XOsoft customers, WANSync Version 4.0 (ver 4.0) delivers significant enhancements to the management and deployment modules, as well as offers expanded support for several new platforms and applications. XOsoft continues to lead the continuous application software space by bringing to market a more intuitive solution that supports multiple/cross platform capabilities.

According to Dave Russell, research director at Gartner and co-author of the Gartner 2006 Cool Vendors in Data Protection report, published March 6, 2006, "Disk-to-disk backup and therefore disk-based recoveries will be the most significant technology impact on recovery in the next five years."

Recognizing the effect that this will have on organizations who need to deploy continuous application availability solutions, XOsoft has enhanced its product offering by adding the following new components:

Re-configured Management and Deployment Module: New integrated and intuitive wizard for installation, remote installation for simultaneous installations on hundreds of servers, and remote configuration - all provide a more task-oriented solution that reduces complexity and increases management and deployment automation.

Support for New Platforms, including Linux (Red Hat) and 64-bit Computing: With support for the 64-bit computing environment, XOsoft is the first-to-market with a HA solution for this platform. In addition, by offering support for the Linux operating system (OS), XOsoft can more aggressively target the global market and gain greater traction in the Asia-Pacific region, where Linux has become a more mainstream OS.

Continuous Data Protection (CDP) Support for UNIX: This new feature marks XOsoft as the first vendor to offer a combined DR/HA/CDP offering for UNIX.

Complete New Product Application for Internet Information Services (IIS): This tailored product addresses the unique configuration of the multi-server IIS application.

Support of Blackberry Enterprise Server: Enhancing its offering for the Blackberry application, XOsoft further addresses the growing demand for a Blackberry DR solution.

"By listening to our customers, we are providing leading-edge data protection technologies that enable organizations to obtain business-critical information when they need it," said Leonid Shtilman, founder and CEO of XOsoft. "With WANSync ver 4.0, we have expanded the scope of our flagship solution to provide our customers with greater access to the latest in platforms, applications and key storage management components, like CDP — which is vital in delivering superior data protection support."

WANSync ver 4.0 is now available.

XOsoft's continuous application and information availability solutions keep enterprises working. The company's patented software platforms significantly lower the risks of decreased productivity and lost revenue by minimizing application downtime and ensuring that the most up-to-date information is available throughout the enterprise. Many of the world's largest corporations and government agencies have chosen XOsoft to ensure uninterrupted access to their most valuable information assets.
