GenieKnows.com, a privately held, Canadian search company part of IT Interactive Services, has appointed Tiffany Mitchell as Director of Business Development and named Gina Kosta as Consultant. The company has also promoted Director of Affiliate Relations Mark Harper to VP of Strategic Relations.

Having previously been employed as Director Affiliate Relations with IT Interactive Services, Harper is now promoted to VP Strategic Relations, a newly created position with overall responsibility for marketing, PR and managing key partnerships.

Mitchell is responsible for seeking and negotiating key Business Development relationships that will enhance overall revenues and the image of GenieKnows.com within the search engine sector. This includes attendance at key industry trade shows and conferences.

Mitchell has worked in the performance-based marketing industry for over four years specializing in partner development for both pay-per-click and pay-per-call advertising.

She previously held the titles of business development manager and team manager of affiliate relations at MIVA, Inc. where she helped guide the overall management and growth of its partner network and assisted in the back-end development process to combine its U.S. and European partner management systems. At the time of her departure, MIVA had expanded into nine countries serving eight languages and five different currencies. Mitchell graduated from Florida State University with a BS in Management Information Systems.

Kosta has been engaged as a sales consultant to assist with business development and sales strategies and to identify potential partners and customers.

Kosta has nearly eleven years experience in the internet search and advertising markets. Prior to founding her media consulting firm, GMK Enterprises, she was director of business development for LookSmart, Ltd. where she was responsible for generating over $60 million in revenue for the company over her nine-year tenure. She also introduced, negotiated, and managed partnerships with major Fortune 500 companies such as Amazon, eBay, SBC, Office Depot, Disney, and Blockbuster. Kosta graduated with high honors from the University of California at Berkeley. She has also studied at Cambridge University and the University of London and holds bachelors degrees in English and Psychology.

"Tiffany and Gina's extensive understanding of the search and advertising industries, as well as their proven track record of success, make them a critical asset for us in the growth of our company," said Barbara Manning, president and chief executive officer, GenieKnows.com.

Harper joined GenieKnows as director of operations in July 2002, previously having managed the Operational Budget and Accounting Office for the Delegation of the European Union (EU) in Washington, D.C. from 1997-2001. He also held positions at the Newcastle Magistrates Courts (1986-1990), the UK Ministry of Defense (1990-1994), and the British Embassy in Washington D.C. (1994-1997). Harper earned his Business Administration Degree with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators at The Kensington School of Business in London.

"Mark is a proven team leader who brings a wealth of international project management know-how to his new position," said Manning.
