C-Chip Technologies Corporation (North America) has started production of its Credit Chip 200G series.

The 200G Series is a GSM based GPS location and recovery solution, and can be used for Delinquency Management, Theft-Recovery, and Fleet Management.

Proprietary technology developed by the company allows the integration of wireless communications, online transactions, software applications, RFID technology, the Internet and, when location is required, GPS technology, it describes.

As part of a production ramp-up, 400 units have been produced in the Montreal company's manufacturing facility, it says, and will be shipped to direct clients and resellers in the next few days.

"This is a stepping stone towards the deployment of a world-wide reseller network. In essence, our sales and marketing strategies are propelled by the global acceptance of GSM. C-Chip Technologies views this broad-based adoption with a great deal of optimism," stated Claude Arbour, C-Chip Technologies' President.

C-Chip Technologies has leveraged iMetrik's GSM based platform in order to satisfy its go-to-market strategy. Original devices relied on the analogue AMPS network that had only limited geographic capacity. The progression from AMPS to the GSM-based solution allows C-Chip Technologies to pursue the credit management industry on a world-wide scale.
