AirIQ Inc., Toronto-based global wireless security provider, announced changes to certain executive positions in the Company.

Colin Zvaniga, currently Vice President Service Delivery and Quality has been appointed Chief Technology Officer, AirIQ Inc.

"Colin has faithfully led the development of our services and robust delivery infrastructure for several years now," said Don Simmonds, President and CEO of AirIQ "and will apply his unique combination of technology expertise and a service mindset to the company's full range of technology investments."

A reallocation of existing management resources will streamline the company following the departure of the COO, Ken Wiesner. Anne Taylor, currently Vice President, Commercial Fleets Division, will assume additional responsibility for the Marine Division, with the departure of David Brandos, who was Vice President of the Marine Division and Chief Marketing Officer.

"The Telematics industry is very active and exciting," said Don Simmonds. "With the recent payment of the earn-out obligation in connection with our acquisition of the Aircept business, the Company is focused on the next phase of its vision to become a leading global provider of wireless location and security services."

The steps announced reflect a further integration of operations that should benefit the Company through reduced ongoing expenses, the company added.

Telematics is the name given to information and control messages sent wirelessly to and from vehicles and vessels. AirIQ's services are offered to four primary markets: Commercial Fleets; Consumer; Vehicle Finance; and Marine Fleets.
